An insulated steel mounting curb sits atop the roof deck secured by wood nailers. A fire-retardant two-by-four wood nailer is anchored around the perimeter, providing a twelve-inch minimum height above the roof surface. Wall flashing extends onto the roofing membrane and is secured by a counterflashing receiver. Counterflashing is fastened at two locations per side or at a maximum spacing of eighteen inches on center. A continuous bead of sealant runs along the perimeter, and the base of the unit extends one-half inch minimum beyond and down over the top of the curb.
