This assembly features an aluminum door frame mounted to a six-inch metal stud wall. The frame is secured to a five-eighths-inch steel plate, which is anchored into the concrete or substrate using Hilti Kwik Bolt TZ anchors with two-and-a-half-inch embedment. A four-by-four-by-three-eighths-inch steel angle connects the frame to the wall structure, with sealant and backer rod applied to both sides of the aluminum frame. A finger guard is integrated into the frame profile. The wall assembly includes six-inch metal studs spaced at twelve inches on center, with sheathing as specified in the finish plan.
