A utility exhaust fan mounts on a concrete pad by others, isolated from vibration using isolators as required. The exhaust unit connects to horizontal ductwork via an eight-inch neoprene connection secured with stainless steel clamps. The duct system requires a minimum straight duct length of 2.5 times the duct diameter upstream of the connection and is supported by designated duct supports over the roof. A discharge stack extends upward, with height and sizing specified per the plans.
