This assembly consists of a one and one-half inch diameter steel pipe handrail mounted to a concrete panel. The handrail is supported by a one-quarter inch by three inch diameter steel plate welded to the pipe. This plate is secured to the concrete panel using three one-quarter inch by three inch expansion bolts spaced at six feet on center, with the end bolts located six inches from each end of the rail. The handrail is primed and painted per specifications, with all welds ground smooth and pits filled as required. A minimum clearance of one and one-half inches is maintained between the handrail and the concrete panel face.
