An epoxy terrazzo flooring system transitions directly to a scheduled tile finish over a cast-in-place concrete substrate. A bonding agent is applied beneath the epoxy terrazzo, while the tile is set in a thinset mortar bed over the concrete. A one-quarter-inch aluminum divider strip separates the two flooring materials. A backer rod and sealant fill the joint gap directly between the aligned edges of the flooring finishes.
