Two main tee runners are joined end-to-end with a one-inch gap maintained between them for seismic movement. A main tee runner joint clip spans the splice connection and is installed per the manufacturer's specifications. The main beam splice accommodates the alignment of the ceiling grid members while allowing structural flexibility.
