A metal flashing boot seals the base of a roof penetration with an eight-inch minimum horizontal flange extending across the roof membrane. The assembly includes a two-inch minimum vertical lap and continuous counter-flashing. The roof construction comprises a concrete slab over metal decking, rigid insulation, and a multi-ply waterproofing membrane.
