A curtain wall cap system terminates at the top of a parapet adjacent to a catwalk supported by hollow structural section framing. Galvanized steel grating rests on the catwalk framing, which is cantilevered from the structural columns. A 1-inch clearance is maintained at the top of the curtain wall assembly below the cap.
