Permanent room identification signs are mounted with the baseline of the lowest line of braille positioned a minimum of 3/8 inch above finished floor, and the baseline of the highest line of raised characters located a maximum of 60 inches above finished floor. The minimum mounting height to the baseline of the lowest line of raised characters is 48 inches above finished floor. Pictograms are positioned where applicable, and tactile characters maintain specific spacing relationships.
