A wall sconce light fixture is integrated into an exterior wall assembly featuring concrete masonry units, a sheet water barrier, seven-eighths-inch hat channels, and cement fiber lap siding. A one-inch synthetic wood cant four feet long, typical with half-inch spacing between lengths, is installed above the light fixture with a stainless steel flashing and caulked joints. An electrical back box is recessed into the masonry behind the fixture with electrical connections coordinated per electrical drawings.
