This two-hour rated shaftwall assembly is constructed in accordance with UL design U415 system E up to the underside of the deck. The wall consists of a one-inch gypsum board liner panel and one layer of five-eighths-inch gypsum board on each side, supported by four-inch twenty-gauge minimum C-H metal studs spaced at twenty-four inches on center. Three-and-a-half-inch insulation is installed between the studs. The side facing the hangar door pocket features a nine-inch rib metal panel oriented horizontally, utilizing the Max-Rib design by McElroy.
