An interior twenty-inch expansion joint bridges the gap between the new NRC building and the existing ECC building. The assembly integrates a specialized expansion joint system designated as Construction Specialties model LAF2G-2000. A continuous vapor barrier and a fire barrier loop upward within the cavity to maintain environmental separation and fire rating across the building movement joint.
