A circular column base plate is anchored to a concrete foundation using sixteen 2-1/4-inch diameter anchor bolts per column, equipped with three heavy hex nuts and extra heavy washers at both top and bottom. Non-shrink grout such as Embico is placed beneath the base plate with a 3-inch clearance above the top of the foundation. Protective coatings are removed from the base plate under nuts and washers prior to installation, and exposed anchor rods and nuts receive a two-part epoxy exterior paint touch-up after final torque is set. The assembly maintains a 4'-6" offset from the centerline of the terminal door and aligns with the building face at the boarding level.
