Tactile warning strips are installed at the leading edge of all stair treads and landings across the full width of the stair. The warning surface incorporates grooves or a pattern featuring contrasting color and texture for visual and tactile detection. The strip spans twenty-four to twenty-six inches or six hundred to six-fifty millimeters in depth from the leading edge.
