An aluminum storefront sill is supported by a framed wall opening with air-water-resistive barrier flashing and a one-half-inch solid surface sill stool. The zero-point-zero-ninety-inch prefinished aluminum sill features welded closed ends at the exterior projection and is set in a full bed of sealant matching the window finish. A zero-point-zero-forty-inch backer plate occurs at aluminum sill splices, while one-quarter-inch by one-inch weep holes are spaced three inches from ends and at twenty-four inches on center. Stainless steel fasteners secure the assembly at a maximum of twelve inches on center, supplemented by continuous beads of sealant at the interior and exterior interfaces.
