A scheduled door and frame assembly transitions from a tile floor to an adjacent concrete floor. The tile floor consists of a mortar bed over a crack suppression membrane supported by the concrete slab. An anodized aluminum transition strip, such as Schluter-Systems Reno-U or an approved equal, bridges the height difference between the tile finish and the concrete floor. The assembly sits directly on the concrete floor substrate.
