Precast concrete treads and risers are supported by a welded steel angle and ESC-1 steel plate bearing on a 4-inch by 12-inch hollow structural section stringer. Metal studs are cast into the precast concrete and welded to the steel plate below. An open gap is maintained between assembly components.
