Heavy duty concrete pavement features a thickened edge supported by a six inch layer of processed aggregate base over a prepared subgrade. The twelve inch concrete slab incorporates reinforcing steel and sits flush with finished grade. Detectable warning pavers are installed where indicated on plans.
