A structural support pipe penetrates a plywood deck and is capped with a twenty-four gauge galvanized iron hood secured by a stainless steel hose clamp. One hundred percent urethane sealant seals the joint between the pipe and hood, with a polirable sealer and grout sealing the base over an adhered flashing membrane and a metal base plate. The assembly requires an eight-inch minimum clearance and is installed with three-inch and four-inch dimensional spacings as shown on structural drawings.
