This exterior wall assembly consists of a horizontal wood rain screen designated as WP-1 mounted over a continuous metal angle and slotted metal clip angle system, creating a one-inch air space. Two inches of mineral wool insulation are installed between vertical furring over a fluid-applied weather barrier and one-half-inch exterior sheathing. The backup wall utilizes metal studs sized per structural drawings, filled with batt insulation and faced with a vapor barrier on the warm side, finished with an interior layer as scheduled.
