An interior partition as scheduled terminates against a storefront or curtain wall vertical mullion with a maximum three-eighths-inch joint. The gap is tightly packed with glass fiber insulation and sealed continuously on both sides with tooled acoustical sealant. Five-eighth-inch thick gypsum board or equivalent weight material such as medium-density fiberboard or glass fiberboard clads the mullion extension per exterior curtain wall or storefront details.
