A 12-gauge angle ceiling clip measuring 1-1/2 inches by 1-1/2 inches by 2 inches wide secures a hanger wire to the bottom flange of a structural steel beam. The clip is fastened to the steel beam flange using a half-inch maximum power-actuated fastener with a minimum diameter of 0.145 inches, coordinated per the product evaluation report. The structural steel member is fully encased in spray-applied fireproofing above and around the connection. The beam flange thickness must not be less than 3/16 inch, and power-actuated fasteners are prohibited within the protected zone of any seismic steel member per AISC 341.
