A thermally broken aluminum storefront system meets a brick veneer wall with a multi-piece, concealed fastener brake metal closure finished to match the storefront and overlapping the brick by a half inch minimum. Continuous pressure-treated wood blocking is secured behind the closure alongside continuous sealant at the exterior joint. A fluid-applied air barrier transitions across the assembly, backed by closed-cell spray foam insulation extending past the brake metal closure. Additional sealant and backer rod are applied to both sides of the storefront frame perimeter.
