An acoustical partition runs parallel to the underside of a concrete-filled metal deck with a one-half-inch gap at the head of the wall. A metal runner is secured to a metal plate spaced at sixteen inches on center with fasteners specified per structural drawings. Acoustical spray seal is applied to both sides of the joint for rated conditions.
