An interior aluminum door frame is anchored beneath a metal stud head framing assembly. The partition wall consists of 3-5/8 inch metal studs spaced at 16 inches on center, surfaced with 5/8 inch Type X gypsum board on both sides. Corner beads finish the gypsum board edges adjacent to the opening. Shims level the aluminum door system within the rough opening, and backer rod with sealant is applied on both sides to seal the joint.
