The roofing assembly is built upon structural I-sheathing with a fiberglass base sheet mechanically fastened to the deck per Factory Mutual 90 requirements. Two plies of fiberglass ply sheets are bedded in continuous asphalt moppings, topped with a mineral surfaced fiberglass cap sheet or cool roof cap as required. A staple and tape fastener system secures the base components, with staples spaced nine inches on center. Field installation requires four rows of fasteners, while perimeter zones require seven rows for thirty-six-inch wide base sheets or eight rows for metric base sheets within twenty-one feet of walls. Corners are reinforced with cross-hatch fastening rows.
