A cornice assembly at a curtain wall intersects with a deck bearing condition. The wall framing consists of 3 5/8-inch by 18-gauge metal studs spaced at 16 inches on center with exterior sheathing. An Alucobond panel is attached using a continuous 5x5x5/16-inch angle and 4x4x4-inch by 14-gauge clip angles secured with number 10 Tek screws. The steel framing incorporates a W8 section for the curtain wall support. Four number 10 hex screws provide vertical to horizontal attachment.
