An existing extended structural steel beam at a stair is enclosed by five-eighths-inch gypsum board over metal framing spaced at sixteen inches on center. The top of the enclosure is finished with a twenty-two gauge galvanized metal cap featuring a one-inch leg at the sides and end, painted to match the angle.
