Cold-formed steel joist framing bears upon tracks at bearing walls sized per plan or schedule. The exterior end condition requires a minimum one and one-half inches of bearing with a piece of stud matching the joist gauge secured by four number twelve by three-quarter inch screws to the joist. The interior condition requires a minimum three and one-half inches of bearing with an eight inch long piece of joist matching the joist gauge secured by four number twelve by three-quarter inch screws. Closure tracks cap the framing assembly at both conditions.
