Partition wall head conditions meet a concrete-filled metal deck in both parallel offset and perpendicular orientations. The assembly consists of a slotted top track supporting a light-gauge steel stud wall with type 3 insulation in the stud cavity. Spray-applied fire stopping is applied at the deck flutes, referencing Underwriters Laboratories design numbers HW-D-0569 and HW-D-0570. Dimensions indicate a typical three-quarter-inch clearance and a one-and-a-half-inch maximum deflection gap between the track and the underside of the deck.
