An existing wall assembly connects to a new metal lintel installed with expansion anchor bolts inside an opening formed in the existing concrete masonry unit wall. A new window unit is installed below the lintel, positioned beneath the line of the wall beyond. The assembly transitions from the existing masonry wall down to the window frame head section.
