A concrete wall transitions in thickness with vertical reinforcement lapping across the change in section. The exterior casting face maintains a consistent vertical plane while the interior face steps. Interior vertical reinforcement laps by a standard lap length at the transition zone. A ledger is anchored to the interior stepped face per plan. Clearances are maintained at 1 3/4 inches and 1 inch.
