This operable rail assembly is anchored to a concrete floor slab using a kick plate and structural steel components. The safety screen is secured with pairs of angles welded to the kick plate and fastened with half-inch diameter by three-and-a-half-inch ball lock pins tethered to welded rings on the angles. Additional connections utilize half-inch diameter bolts and nuts with two-and-a-half-inch clear shanks and one-and-a-half-inch threads through five-eighth-inch holes in the pipe and angle. The vertical supports consist of hollow structural section steel tubes measuring two inches by two inches by eleven gauge.
