This assembly features a steel channel stringer supporting concrete-filled stair treads, which are to be filled by others following the installation of stair insulation. The stringer connects to the concrete landing slab, which is referenced to the structural plan. A control joint is located at the junction between the landing and the stair assembly, requiring a backer rod and flexible sealant color-matched to the concrete. The structural support for the landing is provided by a steel beam as indicated on the structural drawings.
