A lightweight orange polypropylene barricade safety fence surrounds the existing tree to be protected at the dripline unless otherwise directed by the project or city arborist. The fence is supported by firmly driven metal T-bar stakes measuring 1.5 inches by 1.5 inches by 0.125 inches by 10 feet, or equal, spaced at 6 feet on center. Posts have a minimum burial of one-third of their overall length, or 3 feet, taking care to avoid tree roots in the surrounding area. Protection barricade safety fencing must be maintained throughout the duration of construction work at the site. Any work occurring within the tree protection fencing must be reviewed and approved by the project arborist or city arborist.
