Perimeter steel channels are mitered at a 45-degree angle at the corner and joined with typical welds ground smooth. A 1/4 inch by 6 inch by 0 feet 6 inch steel splice plate is centered across the perimeter channel splice located per plans. Welds are specified as 3/16 inch fillets applied on three sides.
