A hollow structural section girt is supported by an L4x4x1/4 angle measuring five inches long, welded with three-sixteenths inch fillet welds typical. A 1/4 inch by 4 inch by 9 1/2 inch plate is centered on the hollow structural section column per plan. A cap plate is provided per detail 3/3.S-510, and a standard slotted hole accommodates a 3/4 inch diameter A325 bolt. The assembly ties the girt into the column framing with specified plate sizes and weld sizing.
