A hollow structural electrical metallic tubing compression post sits centered on a structural main tee intersection with cross tees, positioned with a slotted end fitting directly over the tee flange. Four twelve-gauge splay wires provide bracing in the plane of each runner, secured to the runners within a maximum distance of two inches from the intersection. Member sizes are selected based on length limits, using either one-inch or one-and-one-quarter-inch outside diameter electrical metallic tubing for member "A" and one-and-one-quarter-inch or one-and-one-half-inch outside diameter electrical metallic tubing for member "B" according to the accompanying compression post schedule. Seismic posts are installed at a maximum spacing of one hundred forty-four square feet.
