A preformed shower pan sits atop a concrete slab over a continuous waterproof membrane, which extends vertically behind a half-inch tile board and shower tile. An existing rated wall remains adjacent to the wet area, sealed with a continuous waterproof membrane running down its face. A glass shower enclosure is anchored to the preformed shower pan with sealant at the base joint. Thin-set floor tile finishes the adjacent concrete slab outside the shower pan assembly.
