An insulated freezer or cooler door fits into a prefinished metal-clad high-density polyethylene frame set within an insulated metal panel wall. A foam-in-place insulation layer fills the pocket between the frame and the wall assembly. Full-perimeter sealant is applied to both sides of the frame junction for airtight containment. A heated gasket seal operates at 28 degrees Fahrenheit and below to prevent frost accumulation at the door interface. A prefinished metal rain hood extends three inches beyond the door opening on each side at exterior conditions, secured with sealant.
