A cold-formed steel stud wall terminates perpendicularly beneath a concrete-filled metal deck with a rigid connection. The top track receives five-eighths inch gypsum board on typical framing, filled with sound insulation as noted. Mineral fiber insulation packs the gap at the deck edge, sealed with Specseal smoke and sound spray grade on both sides and painted to match adjacent surfaces. A rigid connection secures the top track to the deck structure per the structural drawings.
