Rigid insulation is overlaid with a continuous sheet of reinforced membrane wrapping the roof curb or formed from coated metal. A bonding adhesive secures the membrane to the vertical curb surface. Seam fastening plates secure the base flange at twelve inches on center through the insulation and substrate with mechanical fasteners, finished with a cut-edge sealant. A metal cap or counter-flashing is installed at the top of the curb per the manufacturer's specifications and fastened twelve inches on center. Outside corners require special detailing per manufacturer instructions.
