An intersecting non-rated wall framing member abuts a continuous fire-rated wall assembly designated as UL U419. Continuous gypsum board facing is installed behind the intersecting wall framing to maintain the required fire separation. The fire-rated wall assembly and non-rated wall assembly are constructed per schedule. Intersecting wall framing connects directly to the continuous board facing and stud framing of the primary partition.
