Cold-formed steel stud framing connects perpendicularly beneath an existing concrete-filled metal deck using a continuous quarter-inch by three-inch steel plate. The plate is anchored into the center of the lower deck flutes with three-eighth-inch diameter Hiliti KB TZ expansion bolts spaced at eighteen inches on center with a two-and-a-half-inch minimum embedment. A 362T250-54 track secures to the plate using number twelve self-tapping sheet metal screws spaced at twelve inches on center. The 362S137-33 stud framing is spaced at sixteen inches on center and connects to the track with number ten sheet metal screws on each side typically.
