The assembly features a cold-formed steel stud framing cavity filled with batt insulation, faced on the interior with gypsum board and on the exterior with sheathing. Outside the sheathing, a continuous layer of rigid exterior insulation is installed behind a furring hat channel supporting the exterior cladding panel. The multi-layer wall detail integrates thermal insulation, framing, and cladding attachment systems.
