A steel pipe handrail and guardrail assembly. A 1 1/4" nominal pipe size steel pipe handrail is mounted to balusters via a 3/8" steel bracket, providing a 1 1/2" minimum clearance to the vertical baluster beyond. The handrail centerline is positioned 3'-0" above the stair nosing or floor, while the top of the 1 1/4" nominal pipe size steel pipe guardrail is positioned 3'-6" above the nosing or floor.
