Insulated precast concrete sandwich panels meet at a mitered corner with a one-inch joint gap. Steel embed plates and a structural steel angle secure the panel connection. The joint is sealed with backer rods and sealant, featuring one on the interior side and two on the exterior side. Fire-rated sealant is provided to match the wall rating referenced in the life safety plans.
