A vertical roof membrane extends up the base of the rooftop screen post to provide weatherproofing at the roof penetration. A one-inch stainless steel band secures the top of the vertical membrane flashings with sealant applied at the upper edge. The post base is secured to the structural framing below with a base plate and anchor bolts bearing on a metal deck roof assembly.
