An Efco aluminum door threshold sits atop a pressure-treated wood sill with shims and an ethylene propylene diene monomer sill plate gasket. The wood sill is secured to a concrete foundation with a sill anchor using countersunk fasteners. A vapor retarder, felt paper, and sealant form an expansion joint between the interior flooring assembly and the exterior sidewalk. The interior floor construction incorporates insulation, a felt expansion joint, a hydronic heating system, and marmoleum flooring.
