A painted C10 x 20 steel channel forms the structural fascia with variable sizing at similar conditions. One inch of rigid insulation inserts between the plywood and the steel channel alongside a two-inch wood nailer. A typical one-half-inch backer rod and sealant is recessed one-quarter inch, maintaining a one-quarter-inch maximum sealant joint at the end of the wood ceiling.
